How it works
Fixed percentage bankroll management is one of the most widely used staking strategies among professional bettors. The idea is simple: you always wager the same percentage of your available capital, regardless of the odds or your confidence in the bet. When your bankroll grows, your stakes grow proportionally; when it shrinks, your stakes automatically decrease, which limits the risk of ruin.
The most commonly recommended percentages range from 1 % to 5 % depending on your risk tolerance. At 1-2 %, growth is slow but the risk of ruin is very low even through a long losing streak. At 3-5 %, progression is faster but a bad run can make a meaningful dent in your capital. Above 5 %, you enter high-risk territory generally reserved for experienced bettors with a proven edge.
